This site collects as little as it can: what you type into the sample-site form, visit counts, and the cookies needed to run the site. No advertising cookies, no ads, and nothing is ever sold.

Who we are
FoundCraft Studio is a trade name of BadBuddha Customs LLC, a Wisconsin company in Appleton, Wisconsin, run by Jeff Wichman. BadBuddha Customs LLC is responsible for the information described here. "We" and "I" on this site mean FoundCraft Studio.
What the sample-site form collects
When you ask for a free sample site, we get what you type: your business name and town, your name, your email or phone, a link to your booking page or Instagram, your kind of business, who sent you (if you tell us), and any message. We also check that the request comes from a person and not a spam program (see "Spam protection" below), and we keep a scrambled record of the internet address it came from, to stop floods of fake requests.
We use it only to build your sample site, send it to you, and talk with you about it if you want. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell it. We share it only with the service providers below that help run this business, and in the cases listed under "When else we might share information."
If you give us a mobile number, we use it only to reach you about your request and our services, as our terms describe; reply STOP to any text to stop them. We don't share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Requests, including that scrambled internet address, are stored briefly on the website's database, then copied to our own records and deleted from the website within 30 days. The internet address is not copied to our records.
We keep your request in our records. If you tell us you're not interested, or we stop hearing from you, we mark your request so we don't contact you again.
If you become a client, we fill in parts of your setup form from your own public website and booking page, so you don't have to retype them. We keep the answers from your setup form, and what we read from those pages, while you're a client and for one year after you leave, in case you come back, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Payment records are the exception: we keep those as long as tax law requires, even if you ask us to delete everything else.
Visit counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and which websites linked here. We don't use this to identify you or follow you to other websites.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track you across websites in the first place, we don't change anything when we receive one.
Cookies
This site uses cookies, small files your browser stores, to count visits, keep the site secure, and stop spam. We don't use cookies for advertising, and we don't use them to follow you to other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the form or the map on the Contact page may not work without them.
Spam protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person, usually without a puzzle. To do that, Cloudflare looks at technical details from your browser and may set a short-lived security cookie. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that check.
The map on the Contact page
The Contact page shows a Google map of Appleton. When it loads, your browser connects to Google, and Google may set cookies or collect technical details as its own privacy policy describes. The map only loads when you scroll to it on that page; the rest of this site doesn't use Google.
Payments
If you become a client, you pay through Stripe, on Stripe's own payment page. Stripe collects your card or bank details and your billing address; we never see your full card number. We get your name, email, phone, business name and what you paid, and keep those payment records as long as tax law requires. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it does with your details.
Service providers
This website runs on Cloudflare (hosting, the form's database, visit counts and spam protection). The Contact page's map is from Google Maps. Payments go through Stripe. We use Claude, an AI tool from Anthropic, to help write sample sites from the details you send, and we store sample sites on GitHub. Our email runs through an outside email provider, so messages between us are stored there too. Our records are kept on equipment we control, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect them.
When else we might share information
We may share information if the law requires it, such as a court order, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We may share it with an accountant or attorney who works for us. If the business is ever sold, your information would go to the new owner, who would have to follow this policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: email [email protected] or call or text (920) 212-1199. We may need to confirm it's you before we act on a request. If you ask us to delete your information, we'll delete everything except your name and the email or phone you gave us, which we keep only so we don't contact you again. If you asked for a sample and change your mind, just tell us, and we won't contact you again.
Children
This site is for business owners. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll ask you first.
